Learning Approach

Research-Based Curriculum

Philosophy

Bailey’s Childcare and Learning Center believes that a child learns through innovative, engaging, and interactions models from birth to preschool, and through teaching, “Every child learns at their own pace and no two children are alike”.

STREAMin³ Curriculum

STREAMin³ curriculum was developed by a University of Virginia CASTL team in collaboration with, and funding from E3: Elevate Early Education. The New E3 School STREAMin³ is grounded in solid and developmental academic and early education research.
in3 stands for the three rubrics the Center when we look when we deal with a child: integrational, intentional and interactions. It focuses on 6 academic skills, STREAM, for Science, Technology, Reading, Art and Math. The curriculum provides a high-quality option for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and mixed age classrooms, so that the teachers can reflect on the skills of relating, regulating, early math, communication, think and move.

Is STREAMin³ inclusive of different cultures, religions, family models, and lifestyles?

A hallmark of STREAMin³ is dedication to inclusion for each child and family and their unique cultures, backgrounds, strengths, and needs. At a structural level, the curriculum is built to meet the needs of each and every child through intentional instruction and interactions. Our resources are representative of children, educators, authors, and illustrators from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds, races, and cultures.
